As I sat on my couch, engaged in a heartfelt conversation with God, I found myself reflecting on two significant areas of my life: an impending career transition and the evolution of a cherished friendship. My mind began to wander (thanks, ADHD!), and I started pruning my nearby house plant. That's when I noticed a branch with leaves that had turned yellow and golden.
As I reached over to remove the leaves, they effortlessly fell into my hand. In that instant, a familiar feeling washed over me: "When it's time to leave an environment, it's simply time."
This resonated deeply because I’ve been here before and know exactly what that means for me. How often do we cling to:
Old friendships out of nostalgia?
Career paths that no longer spark passion?
It's okay to outgrow comfort zones and make space for the new. Transition doesn't have to be painful or draining. It can be as seamless as those leaves drifting into my palm.
I firmly believe in listening to your inner voice. Your feelings, intuition, and gut instincts serve as guidance. Just as those leaves instinctively knew their time on the branch had expired, our inner wisdom alerts us when it's time to move on.
Perfect timing. Thank you Ashlee!
I needed this reminder today, thank you! 🫶🏾
